Becoming a Medical Assistant 

You can become a medical assistant in Florida through Compu-Med Vocational Careers. The Medical Assistant Program is 45 weeks long and has two full semesters of courses. As a student, you may gain knowledge of computers and office skills, anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology to provide a strong professional base for your medical career. 

Then you may take courses in physical examination and vital signs, microbiology, electrocardiography, phlebotomy, medication administration, and minor office surgery. You may also take courses in radiology, urinalysis, laws and ethics, and patient examinations and procedures.
