Path to a Nursing Career 

Nurses must be trained and licensed for their profession. The education that you receive at CompuMed will set you up for success as an entry-level nurse. You will also be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). 

First, you need to enroll in a nursing program that is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. CompuMed’s nursing program meets the standards of a qualified nursing program for licensure. 

Next, you will need to complete the nursing program. Learn what it takes to work as a nurse and get the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in the field. CompuMed’s nursing program can be completed in 24 months. When you graduate, you are awarded an associate of science degree in nursing. 

Finally, you will need to study for and take the NCLEX-RN. Register for the exam through the Florida Board of Nursing to get an Authorization To Test. Your education from CompuMed covers the information that you need for the exam. 

Pass the NCLEX and then finish applying for nursing licensure through the Florida Board of Nursing. A nursing license is legally required before you can get a job as a Registered Nurse. 

Career as a Nurse 

Once you have gotten your nursing license, you can begin applying for nursing jobs. CompuMed gives you hands-on experience with nursing so that you are ready for a real-world job. You can work in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and more – wherever nurses are needed!
