Compu-Med Vocational Careers Partners With Three Universities For Credit Transfers
Florida, November 2, 2021 – Compu-Med Vocational Careers (CMVC) entered into articulation agreements with Herzing University, Western Governors University, and South University. Students who graduate from CMVC with an associate degree in nursing will be able to transfer their credits to these institutions to continue their educational journeys.
Herzing University’s Degree Up Articulation Agreement offers CMVC’s ADN graduates the opportunity to transfer credits into Herzing University degree programs. Associate degree graduates of CMVC who wish to continue their education will need to apply to Herzing University and submit their conferred associate degree, official college transcripts, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0. Herzing University enrollment also requires meeting other enrollment conditions as found in their catalog and completing an admissions interview.
Western Governors University (WGU) and CMVC’s collaboration agreement includes transfer articulation pathways to ensure a smooth transfer of credits for CMVC graduates who wish to enroll at WGU for further education and training. The agreement also includes an opportunity for students to apply to WGU’s Community College Partner Scholarship which provides $2,500 funding that is disbursed in increments of $625 per semester for up to four terms. Maintaining a satisfactory academic performance is required for the scholarship.
South University’s articulation with CMVC creates an opportunity for CMVC associate degree graduates to further their degree at South University. CMVC graduates who apply to South University will need to complete South University’s admissions requirements and will be reviewed as pre-qualified for the appropriate program. Once accepted into South University, CMVC graduates can continue their education to earn a higher degree through South University. CMVC nursing graduates accepted into South University will also receive a 10 percent tuition scholarship for the duration of their program at South University.
These articulation agreements provide pathways to higher education for graduates of CMVC. Students who wish to enroll in Herzing University, Western Governors University, or South University after completing their programs at CMVC should speak to their advisors to ensure that they maintain the proper credits and understand how the credits will transfer.
Herzing University, Western Governors University, and South University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). When CMVC graduates transfer to these institutions, there is no loss of credits. Students may receive a discounted tuition rate at the receiving institution.
Compu-Med Vocational Careers has entered into these articulation agreements to offer CMVC graduates the opportunity to advance their degrees and increase their employment opportunities. Nurses are in demand right now and for the foreseeable future. CMVC, Herzing University, Western Governors University, and South University are working together to meet the demands to bring more highly skilled nurses into the workforce.
CMVC students are encouraged to look into the nursing programs offered at Herzing University, Western Governors University, and South University to see how they can continue their degrees after completing the nursing program at CMVC.
